Around Town – Toronto paintings

Sunderland Hall, First Unitarian Congregation

175 St. Clair Avenue West (SW corner Avenue Rd and St. Clair)

October 2010

Once again I have the wonderful opportunity to show in the great space of Sunderland Hall at First Unitarian Congregation for the month of October. This time I am showcasing urban Toronto life.

The city presents many fascinating facets to convey—night scenes, seasonal scenes, and street scenes—some are gritty and others ethereal. I love painting the “real-life” aspects of Toronto that regular people come across. I feel it is important and meaningful to celebrate us in our unique environment.

I will have a reception where the public can “meet the artist, ask questions and opinionate” on October 3rd from noon to 2 pm. I always enjoy meeting people and getting their impressions of my work — I learn a lot! After this time, the Hall is open Sundays at noon. However, other times it is recommended to call ahead to see if the church is open. It generally is but to be sure, please call 416-924-9654 to arrange a viewing.
