I am very honoured to be in this juried group show. It is a prestigious event that displays work from some of Canada’s most talented painters and sculptors. The McMichael Gallery houses a major collection of paintings by the world famous ”Group of Seven” so I feel I will have a “brush with greatness” by being included into this space.

For this event I will be showing my waterscapes – landscapes with a major focus on the beauty of water. I love the play of light and the sense of depth – what lies beneath the surface of a pond or stream. Reflections fascinate me – the drama of the colours, the movement, and the abstract patterns in the marriage of water and sky. I wish to convey the serenity of nature and how it can soothe us in our over-technological age.

I will be there at the McMichael gallery for the duration of the event and look forward to meeting many art lovers as well as enjoying the works of my peers!
